How Nexus Uses Your Data
Last updated: June 10, 2026
This page describes how Nexus Commerce, Inc. uses information when you connect business tools to our platform. It applies to merchants who use Nexus to analyze their store and receive recommendations.
What Nexus Commerce is
Nexus Commerce is a workspace for Shopify and ecommerce brands. You connect the tools you already use. Nexus reads data from those connections, analyzes performance, and delivers recommendations in your private client workspace. You review and approve work before anything customer-facing goes live.
How connections work
When you connect a tool, you sign in through that provider’s secure authorization screen (OAuth). You choose what to connect. Nexus stores connection credentials securely through our integration partner, Nango. We do not ask for your passwords.
Google services
If you connect Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console, or Google Business Profile, Nexus accesses data only from the Google accounts you authorize.
Google Analytics 4
We read traffic, sessions, conversions, and landing page performance to measure how your store and marketing perform over time.
Google Ads
We read campaigns, ad groups, spend, clicks, conversions, and ROAS to identify wasted spend, tracking issues, and acquisition opportunities.
Google Search Console
We read search queries, clicks, impressions, and indexing status to prioritize SEO work that matches real search demand.
Google Business Profile
We read reviews, listing information, and local performance to inform reputation and local visibility recommendations.
Other connected tools
When you connect Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, or other supported platforms, Nexus reads store, marketing, and customer data needed to analyze your business and deliver recommendations. You choose which tools to connect.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not use Google or connected-platform data for advertising. We do not use your data to train general-purpose AI models.
Your control
You can disconnect any integration at any time in Nexus or revoke access in the provider’s account settings. Read-only analysis is the default at launch. Any change that writes back to Google or another platform requires your explicit approval in Nexus.
