Driven by a deep understanding of customer needs and industry demands, we reimagined Textured Tech’s website to focus on texture and concern-specific product discovery, significantly enhancing the online shopping experience.

Located in Carson, CA, Textured Tech stands as a beacon of quality and inclusivity in the beauty supply landscape. Inspired by their commitment to representing black women and offering an array of products from black-owned brands, we delivered a website redesign that magnifies their ethos.

Through extensive collaboration with the founder, we delved deep into understanding their unique customer base and conducted a competitive analysis to gauge the eCommerce effectiveness of similar marketplaces.

Our research highlighted that customers of Textured Tech primarily shop based on specific hair care needs related to their hair's texture and other concerns. This insight led us to shift the website's focus from brand-centric to feature-driven, prioritizing categories like hair texture and specific concerns over general branding.

The redesigned user experience now facilitates a more intuitive product discovery process. By categorizing products based on hair care concerns, texture, price, and special deals, we've made it easier for customers to find exactly what they need without sifting through irrelevant options. This strategic overhaul not only improved the usability of the site but also led to an increase in site traffic and product engagement, marking a significant step forward in Textured Tech’s digital presence.
